Appropriate time to open LLC for Apartment building purchase


I’m sure there is not exact answer, but when did you decide to open an LLC relative to when you started making offers? I’ve been speaking to Private Lenders and part of their summary packages includes borrower information (obviously) and it lists individual or business.

Got me thinking that I should have an LLC open before actually going into contract and start applying for PM loans…

When did you guys/gals open your LLC? How long before your first deal?

I would do it well in advance of buying your first property - so do it now

Once I got an accepted offer on the first deal, I opened it up. My Realtor knew this was the plan so I established it and then bought the property under the LLC.
