Sent in a request for a short sales to Bank of America yesterday. they sent me the paperwork a little later and I returned it to them. Today I got a call from NACA saying BOA notified them and they are now going to be involved in the short sale process. I guess they want to protect the homeowner. The fellow I spoke to said with a decent contract, they could get the foreclosure stopped and order an appraisal.
Just wondering if anyone knows of them and has experience with them? Do I really need to deal with these people?
I have dealt with NACA before on a purchase, years ago. It is an extremely reputable company that assist the individuals who have actually purchased homes through them and have fallen into hard times, to keep thier homes, trying to prevent the foreclosure.
They are not trying to give you grief. They work with people because there was a lot of predatory lending a while back and people were lossing their homes left and right because of it. After the laws were changed, NACA made it a point to make sure that the lenders are following what they actually are supposed to do…and NOT do.
