another yellow letter question

Regarding the yellow letter:

If you send out a letter that says (as suggested by one yellow letter company), “I want to BUY your house at 1234 Street address here, please call me,” when someone calls doesn’t it put you on the spot to buy their property and won’t they be thinking you’ll buy it on their terms. In other words, it seems that you could easily end up backpedaling and getting your prospect very upset because you’ve said you want to buy the property. Suddenly you lose credibility.

What am I missing? The fact that you’re going to say, “yeah, I want to buy it at 60 cents on the dollar.”

Would it be better to say, “ARe you interested in selling your property? If so, can we talk. I’m not a realtor.” or similar?

Save that approach for your Professional letter…

And people dont get bent because you have decided not to buy their house. Besides they have to beg you first… Its their fault that they didnt beg enough…

Direct approach is the best.

I’ve sent out thousands and thousands of yellow letters and so what if they get offended?

“Oh you don’t want to buy my house now?”

“Sorry you’re asking too much and it doesn’t seem you’re in a hurry to sell”

bla bla bla

End call.

Remember, you want to buy their house AT YOUR PRICE, NOT THEIRS. They want to sell at the maximum price and you want to buy at the MINIMUM price. You aren’t obligated to pay any price that comes out of their mouths.

Get that fear out of your head.

The main purpose of the yellow letter is to get them to call (and they will). You won’t buy them all, but its a quick way to find out if you will or not.

I agree with Tien, all you said is you WANT to buy the house. I just seen a TV I WANTED to buy. I really did WANT to buy it, but when I found out what it cost, I didn’t buy it.

Don’t worry what they think just get them to call.
