Annual Property Taxes, Do you guys dispute every year?

Annual Property Taxes, Do you guys dispute every year?

I just bought a few $10k homes in Atlanta… the county still have them appraised at over $50k each, last year i disputed them.

One of them i got appraised at purchase price ($10,000), because i had a real appraisal.
the other 2 i go down to around $30kish.

Do you guys have to dispute every year?

Any tips or methods do you guys use?

Thanks

In my city/state, every $1,000 off is around $41 in taxes you save…

i won my appeal

Great job! You can accomplish things if you can stay on top of them. :beer

appraisal is the gold standard

I have had success with averaging neighborhood sales comps from my realtor

I would think that a purchase contract would suffice, since if the house was “worth” more presumably someone would have paid more, no? At least this would be my argument.
