Agent or Lawyer

I’m looking at buying some apartments. The developer doesn’t want to rent, he just wants to sell after his 1031 Tax Deferral time period has been exceeded. So I’d get about 1 year to get the apartments rented out and bringing in cash before I’d be required to have the loan put together. (would there be a way to get current interest rates, I suspect they’ll be hight at that time)

We’re still doing our due dilligence and deciding what a fair price will be at that time. My question is, to make educated decisions ($ to offer, and confirmation the contract isn’t screwing me over) should I get a Real Estate Agent specializing in Apartment purchases? or a Lawyer who will be able to confirm that contract? Or both (Agent first, Lawyer final etc…)

Thanks for the ideas

Also is there any websites with resources/ legal documents for Land Lords?
