I called Newsday today which is the major local newspaper for rates for putting up ad’s.
1 Week/3 Lines - $279
2 Weeks/3 Lines - $479
30 Days/3 Lines - $549
Are these average? They seem expensive for an ad in the Real Estate Section of the paper.

Putting up ads? For what?

To build my buyers list and once I get a home I could use this paper to sell my home.
Do you think these rates are worth it? Are there other ways you recommend building a wholesaling buyers list?
Is there a local, free “rag” (like the “Thrifty Nickel”, the “American Classifieds”, etc.) in your area? They usually have cheaper rates and a surprising number of folks read them.
How many “bandit sign” (“We Buy Houses”) numbers have you called?
Are there local REIAs? Have you attended?
I guess these rates are “worth it” if you get a significant number of leads from the ads.

Yea see the only thing is my parents recently listed our home in the Newday Real Estate section and didn’t get much response to it. Makes me a little nervous spending marketing money if its not gonna work.
There are other papers that I am going to check into such as the pennysaver, school district papers, etc.
I only looked at banditsigns.com cause it came under such high recommendation from people here on the forum, do you have any otehrs that you feel are better?
I also am setting up a voicemail system that goes to a 1800 #. Do you guys have any experience in this or know of any that you can recommend? I have checked out ringcentral and some others already.
