Advertising Properties to Rent

What resources are people using these days to get their residential lease agreement forms signed?

A black Bic ink pen.

If you’re asking how people advertise, I like to use the local “want ads” paper. Not the city newspaper, but the cheap one to advertise in that just has a bunch of for sale, for rent ads in it.

I use the freepaper. It is picked up by people in restaurants, and while they ride the bus, etc. It is local by part of town so it targets that area. The ads are cheaper and people that want a place to rent really look there. I also use Craigslist just because it is free but your listing gets pushed down to off the first page really fast.

I also use a lawn sign with flyers in the tube.

I don’t use newspapers or any other print source, because I don’t trust the leads from them. Why do I want a tenant who doesn’t know how to use a computer? Also, internet ads allow for more details and pictures so people know what to expect from the ad, and don’t waste your time. If you do make a craigslist ad, do it right! Open a postlets account, put up a ton of pictures as well as a detailed description and then spell check it. Don’t use fake pictures, don’t half ass the description, and don’t lie or exaggerate! As a bonus with postlets, it syndicates to hotpads.com which I have also had some luck with.

AMEN to Postlets! they’re one of my favorite new sites for advertising. Plus, with craigslist, all you have to do is copyandpaste postlet’s html code into the craigslist ad and Voila, a professional looking ad!

Well, The best online source, I would have to say craigslist, hands down. :bobble
