Accurate/Reputable Pre-Foreclosure list online?

Can anyone recommend a good service for pre-foreclosures on-line. I cannot get to the county clerk office M-F. I am in the Wash DC area.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked their website to find out if it is availalbe online?

Steve:

Not sure whos website you’re referring to?

The only accurate list I’ve found online is my local newspapers legal notices. And they have worked just fine.

Here in flroida, its the clerk of the courts where all the recodring documents are deon. I used to live in Maryland but at that time, wasnt intersted in rei. DC should have its own website:clerk of court, property appraiser and tax collector. It may be called a dif name in DC.

I’ve used free “Forclosure alerts”, then I look up homes for sale in Michigan’s RMLS multi list, matching them up, finding the address, then previewing the property. I pay special attention to those that give 12 months redemption. I am always researching, but I have never attempted to persue purchasing properties. Not sure how to go about it. I wish I knew of a forclosure website as well. One that is free, with details. Do you know of one? Banks in this area are willing to sell to anyone at almost any price just to dump the extra costs that they’ve incurred. Hard to find out though, which properties thay own. Local paper is also wonderful tool.
