Abundance EDU Three Day workshop?

I just invested money in this three day workshop with Abundance EDU. Has anybody attended this workshop before? I heard all the good stories but I’m also interested in some not so good stories.

Isn’t it odd to buy training, and then look for background noise on the trainer?

I would say if you didn’t pay a couple of thousand dollars for 3 days of training, then you just signed up for a 3-day sales pitch.

I found it disappointing at best, misleading at worst, that Scott McGillivray was the face of the Fort Worth meeting I attended. You take pictures with him. He gets people in the door from a marketing standpoint. Then he only gets about a 20 minute time slot to speak after the big sales pitch for 3 day workshops is already done.

Scott talks about his “Buy and Hold Strategy” which is what I employ and what I also believe in and he was great. Funny that his advice and plan was 100% the opposite of what Trent and Abundance EDU were selling… “Quick Flip” “Wholesale” etc… It would be a lot more straightforward and transparent of Buy PD, Nudge, Abundance EDU, or any of your company spinoffs to say what the 3 day workshops will actually cover. Using McGillivray to pull of a bait and switch doesn’t seem very ethical. If your company were truly interested in educating real-estate investors, you would teach them how to be real-estate investors. Not sell them on a 3 day workshop that turns them into your “wholesale” army. But I’m sure that would be less profitable.

Finally, I find it comical that both Trent and Garron kept dropping the line “we don’t make money by selling 3 Day Workshops for $2,000, we make money by funding deals.” Then when you read the fine print on the “Tuition Reimbursement Certificate” it says that from Jan. 1, 2013 to Feb. 15, 2014 there were 14,467 individuals given the opportunity to submit for tuition reimbursement. But only 294 individuals submitted an application, and 183 met the terms and conditions and received a reimbursement of their tuition. 14,467 x $2000 = $28,934,000. While 183 is about 1% of 14,467. The truth is that those 14,467 would be better off investing $2,000 buying an actual property or a trust deed, not paying to attend a workshop that teaches them how to do something with a 1% success rate. Comical indeed.

Hello,

So did my sister and I. I am going to the workshop this weekend —will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Lana

By The way, I did close a deal in the first 90 days…Infact 2 deals & according to Abundance EDU The declined both. They were fix & flips they didn’t qualify because I hadn’t also sold the property in that 90 days. I don’t about you guys we weren’t told that on a fix & flip you had to purchase, rehab & sell the property for a profit. The EDU mentor’s??? Told us you had to close a deal in the first 90 daya for you to get the 2,000.00 well I didn’t anything back.

Does anyone know how many of those 14,000+ students actually closed any deals for profit. The preview I just attended also said that the $2000 would be applied to their firs purchase deal. Has anyone found that to be true??
