Hi out there!
Anyone have any experience with abandoned properties?
I have researched the owner thru property tax, etc. Found that they purchased two adjacent lots for $330,000 in 2002, zoned residential. My hunch is probably a builder/developer, don’t know for sure. The lot is on a semi rural street, but on corner of busy street. There are some 700K homes in area, some old run down also, so kind of mixed. I thought it might be rezoned by someone to put up minimart or something. Would you approach owner, or just assume they already plan to build on it? I’m not interested in bothering with re-zoning, just thought that would be a selling angle…The land is vacant except for a small boarded up shack, but records indicate there was once a house. Also, I’m not sure how to get comps for something like this. Any advice?
