Abandoned homes? my first deal

Does anyone know how I can get in contact with the owner of an abandoned home? The house has been abandoned for over 8 years and I know if I can get a hold of the property, fix it up, and sell it, it can sell for at least 1mm in the market that its in. Its an extremely large home with 4 floors, at least 6 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms, 3 car garage and a Queen Anne architectural home style.

FYI - I pulled an Intelius.com report on the address but it didnt come up with the owners information.

I’ve used www.findtheseller.com, zabasearch.com, and privateeye.com to find abandoned property owners. You can also check the tax records to see if taxes have been paid and where the tax bill is being sent. It may also help to ask the neighbors. Hope this helps!
