when doing a A to B, B to C closing, does the A to B require buying title insurance? since " B " will only have posession for a very short time.
Hi,
Yes, you will need title insurance for the A-B and the B-C! However as an investor you will get a discount on the first policy and a deep discount on the second policy!

Yes, however, my escrow agent will give me a “special” rate on this since they are doing the title work once. I can get the title policy on the A to B for like $100 as a special fee. You should work something like that out as well.
thank you for the reply, i was wondering about that because i have seen title ins. cost over $ 1,000, and with 2% going to the transactional funding, it trims the fat from the profits.
Ask the title company for a “Binder Policy,” which charges you only for the difference in the prices spread (price you pay on the purchase A to B versus price you sell B to C.)
A Binder is insurance coverage and can be offered verbally or in writing from an agent or insurance company. Binders offer temporary insurance coverage for a stated period of time to complete underwriting and issuance of the insurance policy is finished. The actual point of coverage may be different from state to state and may also be different for depending on the policy.
