Your county assessor is the place to start. Each county holds their own sales.
My own county has some great information on their web site http://treasurer.maricopa.gov/. Of course, it’s probably not where you live but it will give you a general idea of how things go.
I just went to a class from my local reia club today. It was great, very informative and only $99. Well worth it to find specific information for my area. You should check with your local club to see if they offer classes like that.
