I’m a Canadian resident for tax purposes, and I own several rental properties in Canada. I’m looking to expand my holdings into certain US cities.
Questions:

Are there any US tax implications for a non-US resident to own / be a landlord of US properties?

I’ve been researching land trusts, and they look like a good vehicle for me to use - any pitfalls a non-resident may face?
