I initially offered $550 (10%) to the second lien holder. Manager called me today, the ex wife has been making payments on this loan. He says that they would release the lien but go after the balance. He continued to say that the ex wife has been paying her part its only fair that he (my client) should have to pay his. Shouldn’t this be clarified in the divorce decree as to who is responsible. Should I just worry about getting the lien released for now?
