I find the trick is not so much about having a website, yes you do need a website but marketing is key. Anyone can have a great website but unless you market you site, list it with search engines, post great content to the site, have multiple pay/click marketing campaigns… and the list goes on. Then a website is not going to have a positive ROI. I think every real estate investor needs a website, but don’t forget about the things that come with it. Marketing is time and money. I have a site and offer very cheap subscriptions to your area. http://www.ExpertHomeOffers.com The site is already built with great content (of which you can add content of your own).

Thanks,

I did not look at all the websites, but they all seem to be the same in one shape or another.

You guys need to make your website a selling tool… Don’t just add flashy graphics and make it look cool… This is not your corporate website. Your website is your marketing tool. Visitors to your website MUST BE SOLD on what you do and what you have to offer. They need to feel so compelled to contact you right away to sell.

Your website should contain:

  1. Easy to remember domain name, not your company name
  2. Sales letter/content not a one or two pargraphs
  3. Phone number and online submission
  4. Testimonials, if you don’t have any then shame on you! get testimonials!
  5. Everything on the site should be about benefits for the seller, not about your company and what you do

New to the forum –
I agree that in today’s world you have to have a site. Now matter how great that site is - driving traffic to it is key. Even more important - driving traffic that you want.

Mine are:
http://www.ThePadBuyer.com

and
http://www.ThePadSeller.com

I agree, a cool website is worth nothing without targeted traffic to the website. I know a great SEO/internet marketing firm if anyone is interested.

Hi,
that was my question exactly and searched for about two years solid, years ago, and found who i feel is the best. They are www.investorpro.com/bill that bill piece could be like a 50 buck off coupon too! They do auto replies ect, check out my site below, i have a testimonial in there too about them where I go into great detail about them. Currently mine is getting a face lift as the layout is 5 years old but not the goodies that are inside of it!

I interviewed the owner when i started out, actually i grilled him, he is an investor as well. I can ad as many changes as need be just by shooting an email to them, they really do rock.

post script, you get what you pay for trust me, just because you can find a cheap site does not mean you should buy it, very very important, I have had excellent comments on my site, the content, all the jazz, i am no techy guy either, but i hire the best i can find to do it for me!

pss here is that testimonial for them: http://willbuyanyhouse.com/products.htm

I use fortunecity.com they add me to google and give me targeted traffic to the website.

Check out my website www.renotenetworth.com if anyone is interested.

nice websites everyone…

i wasn’t sure what everyone’s success on generating leads with it was…

O, lead wise, is see.
the house i am living was from my website! But remember if your like me and purchase houses on the lower end the owners may or may not have a pc, if there is one, only there kids us it not they in my target area.

Sooo, it will attract a tad higher end sellers. But i have gotten a nice handful of deals from it, and it offers credibility with testimonials, and I can post my houses for sale easily, ect ect, I like it, its worth it. Just remember you get what you pay for. Mine is a bit more than others thrown together…and it shows. Professionalism is important to me.

all great comments ideas and websites…txs

I highly believe in them too. So cheap to run and very effective once submitted to search engines and Ad campaigns.

I particularly like

http://mnsres.com/?p=0

short and sweet and to the point - “we are only interested in people who are serious sellers, all others please list with an agent”

That’s what its all about and that’s all you need on your site. All you have to do is prove you are professional and do the deals. Testimonials and free reports help there too. On my fliers etc. I put see my site to learn more. Works great. Only deal with the one’s I want to deal with, for the most part. Not worth trying to cater to or buy from the quasi-motivated ones.

btw, most domain/hosting registrants like 1and1.com help you with search submissions. Google Ads do well by me too.

O hail the Internet!

Slap up Bandit signs, sprinkle ‘WE BUY’ business cards on trains, car windshields, Flyers/DoorHangers that all point to your 800# and website.

I find postcards/mailings a big waste of time, money and effort. Most in f/c are swamped with mail.

why do you think they are swamped with mail? that is because it works. Direct marketing is still cheaper than internet marketing if mailing to the right audiance. Internet marketing however, is better than advertising in newspapers

www.1and1.com does the hosting for all my sites including this one:
