Does anyone know if listings of people who owe back child support is public record or not?
kgb,
My normal job is as a special finance manager at a car dealership. I don’t thing anyone else answered your question about bad credit lists, so here goes. The credit bureaus sell lists of information to criteria you select. You can sort by beacon score, zip code, current or past due mortgage, auto loan, credit card, bankruptcy, or for just about any other thing that shows up on your credit. I have marketing companies that do the sorting for me, but I am pretty sure that you could get the info without going to them. Of course, you have to pay for it. The more criteria you select, the more it will cost. My work related lists usually cost .50-1.00 per name.
hope that helped.

Thanks for the tip. By credit bureaus do you mean Experian, Equifax, and Transunion? If so, you can just get a list of people within say a certain credit score, and in a certain ZIP code?
Exactly. The only people that it will not list are people that have opted out with the bureau. This is why homeowners get so many credit card offers. If you do not feel like dealing with the bureau, you can just use a direct mail guy like I do.
Is the mailing company you use local, regional, or national? Also, how do you contact the bureaus about obtaining such a list? Do you just e-mail them?
THE GUY I USE IS LOCAL. JUST ABOUT ANY DIRECT MAIL COMPANY WOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT. IF YOU WANTED TO GET SET UP WITH THE BUREAU, JUST PICK WICH ONE YOU WANT TO USE, YOU DO NOT NEED ALL OF THEM. IN MY EXPERIENCE TRANSUNION HAS MORE FILTERS, BUT MORE PEOPLE LOOK AT EQUIFAX. I FOUND IT PRETTY EASY, GO TO EQUIFAX.COM, CLICK THE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS BUTTON, NEAR THE BOTTOM IS A DIRECT MARKETING SOLUTIONS LINK. YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ONE OF THEIR SALES GUYS. I HOPE IT WORKS.

Thanks! That’s one of the best tips I’ve gotten in awhile!
NO PROBLEM. LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS.

HOw about the unemployment office, they have bulletin boards there.
Shadowdncr, someone has given me that idea before, and it’s a good one. I went to my local office, but there was a few other competitors already on the bulletin board. You should do it if there isn’t too much competition, or do it anyways but make your ad stand out more.
I used to check out Estate Sales, back when I was selling stuff on eBay, and I ended up getting the card to a person who does nothing but sell off items from a recent death… everything in the house, for a commission.
If you’re looking for motivated sellers, hook up with one of these people since they are in contact with whoever inherited the home. The new owners hardly ever take over the home and are looking to liquidate it. There’s your motivated seller.
enricosuave,
What did that person call themselves? Job title?
Just curious.

If I remember correctly they called themselves “Estate Salespersons” or “Estate Sale Auctionor”
