Looking a house that can fit 5 people… with a very affordable price… :bobble
John,
Just so it is clear: You are from Stockholm. Where are you planning on investing? Are you a law student in the USA or in Sweden? Just trying to understand.
To all,
I am more than double 25 now. I do love this thread.
I started when I was 22 or 23. Too far back to remember clearly. I was living in Silicon Valley and working as a software engineer. I read a book (Nothing Down), went to an evening presentation, signed up for a weekend course in San Francisco and bought a house the following Monday in San Jose CA.
The interest rate on the loan was 10 3/4 and it floated monthly. With the tax benefits it worked out to be cheaper to own the house and rent two of the bedrooms than it cost me to be a roommate in the prior house owned by an investor. I had to commute further and could no longer right by bicycle to work.
My point for sharing in this thread is to encourage everyone to take action. It is not a race so no need to have more than someone else. You do not even need to do some wildly great deal. Just do a deal and make it work. You will learn more than you can imagine. Once started you are much closer to success. It will be tough initially so just stay focused. Small steps in the right direction are key. What is the right direction? You tend to figure that out by realizing that some of the time you are not heading in the right direct. Just get out there and try things while using the forum to share.
