I just have to add my 2 cents to this. If you are seriously looking to start a new career in the mortage business I think the company i work for is head and shoulders above the rest. We have a 3 month training salary for starters. We are in 39 states, Fortune ranked our parent company in 2005 the #1 Most Admired mortage company in America. We have partnered with some of the top lenders in the country when we can’t do the loan ourselves. The best thing I found was we are not a mortage house relying on outside leads for business. I was able to make the transition from a 20 year manager in the automotive business to mortage banker without ever skipping a beat. The training is 1st class also.
