I am looking for property management services in Louisiana and the agents I have spoken with are asking for 10% of rent for monthly maintenance plus an additional 50% of the first month’s rent for getting me a new tenant and doing the background checks. Do these numbers seem normal?

They are right on target. Some companies are taking 100% of first month. Just to be safe, I’d ask for references.
