Tax Liens in NJ

Hi, Can someone get some thoughts on getting started on buying Tax liens in NJ. Point to some sources or tips on how to start. Do I have to associate with an agent?

Thanks…

I’ve found Larry Loftis’s book “Profit by Investing in Real Estate Tax Liens” to be as informative as more expensive audio courses you can buy. He gives you enough information to decide whether or not tax lien investing is for you, plus useful insights into what can go wrong and why due diligence is so important.

You do not need any Real Estate Agents, just cash. You are bidding on the interest rate, it starts at 18% and works down, if it hits zero than you are bid on the premiums. NJ is very competitive, and premiums are usually paid. NJ also has over 500 munincipalities (sp?) and each one will have it’s own sale. Good luck.
