Flipping people help me please..

OK iam 17 and wanting to get into REI. Iam interested in buying hud homes and selling them. Or home flipping. But iam wanting to know whats a good source for me to obtain the information that iam going to need…

Is carlton sheets a good one?

I need somthing that will tellme everything i will need to know…

Iam just looking to buy properties under there appraised value and sell them for there apprasied value…

Spend a couple of days taking everything this site has to offer.

Read all the boards and articles.

That should tell you where the bear is in the buckwheat.

But is it really easy as buy fix and sell…

I mean who has a book or somthing that i can read that gets right to the point…

Where are you from Investyoung? I have done flipping and wholesaling. I have bought houses from Hud and Sherrifs sale before.

i admire your drive at such a young age, but I think you’re going to have to wait a year to do actual deals (or less depending on when your birthday is) because minors cannot enter into legally binding contracts. Prepare your RE team and read up while you’re waiting; you’ll be good to go!

Iam from mississippi but not looking to invest in this area being that its growing fast and the only thing making money around here in my eyes are casino’s and big condominiums are blowing up all down the coast… and for a beginner it might be out of my league…

Iam just want to buy diamonds in the rust and polish them up and sell for a good bit of profit…

And as for my age sir i turn 18 on may 29th… You say read up but i cant seem to find out specific information on what iam trying to do its all about doing it but not how to do it step by step…

Hey trump 21 i emailed you…

                                                   thank's

Yeah, since you can’t legally enter into any agreements, (unless you have a custodian, such as a parent sign with you) I would work on birddogging for some local investors and learning everything you can from them in the process. That is a GREAT way to make some money and learn the ropes of REI.

Good luck! (I thought I was a young investor at 20!)

Ryan

Investyoung,

Are you from the Boloxi area or Gulfport? I went to school in Hattiesburg awhile back. I’m only 21 and trying to begin wholesaling homes but I haven’t had any luck as of yet. Maybe we can work and learn together. I’ve thought about investing on the coast down there, but I’m scared of the hurricanes that come through every year :(.

Email me and maybe we can startup a team or something.

Good luck!!

Jason

Hey Jason i emailed you…

I have tried contacting my rei club here but they seemed interested in using me to bird dog only for a short time then after a couple of emails and 2 phone calls it seemed they were not interested in me anymore…

so i was like ok i guess there not worried about me… :frowning:

SO whats a good book to read that will teach about flipping homes?

I really enjoyed “flipping properties” by william bronchick and another guy.

I think that is what it is called. Haven’t read it in ages.

Anything else good for learning to flip properties

Investyoung,
Congratulations on your early start. I’m 23 and thought I was an eager beaver. I’m in Louisiana. Right now, I’ve been doing constant research on the subject. Just go to your local library and you should be able to find some there. There is one book called “Fix it and Flip it.”–not sure who it’s by. That can be a start. Also, find a mentor to be able to shadow for a while so that you can get the inside scoop on how the buisness works.

Good Luck!

Hey thinkingbig, I’m also in La. keep in touch…
