time to get in the streets

It’s time to hit the streets in protest of a govt who passed yet another 1500 page bill without reading it.Pelosi/obama cap and trade bill is gonna kill our economy in every area.RIDICULOUS,stand up my friends,NO MORE!!

Unbelievable. This is ridiculous. The gov is taking going way to far. Something needs to happen, I agree sellnbama. Time to end this.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

There is nothing good about this… Im young, and have only been into politcs for like 3-4 years, so I have a question. How can people put up with this?

I dont think I can take a whole term of this Congress/Presidentcy.

Whats sad is… I have a gut feeling (and I know most of you guys do too), in 2010, we all know dam well Americans wont clean house like they need to. Its going to be the same old game.

Something needs to happen, its getting beyong… belief. Its almost like were in a comedy movie, except… its not so funny.

:cussing :banghead

Spain done the same “green” crap and it’s led to almost 20% unemployed they said it takes away 2.5 jobs to create 1 “green” job.Plus global warming is an unproven myth,if it’s so set in stone how come thousands of scientists are sueing the none scientist al gore. It’s a govt hoax for mega money.I also believe it’s time to put your impeach obama stickers and shirts on,who cares what brainless morons you offend. Thanks yall for understanding,I know most of america feels the same,we just need to organize and show them that they are way outnumbered.GET ORGANIZED IN YOUR COMMUNITY,THEN MULTIPLY.

The good thing is that this bill has an uphill battle in the Senate, which hasn’t reached the same radical level of socialism that prevails in the House.

If you want to take to the streets, you’ll have your chance in only a few days. The next round of tea parties will occur on July 4th - in thousands of cities across the country! I’LL BE THERE!

Mike

I don’t think any protesting in the streets will do any good. The powers that be will push their agenda. I think its best to adjust to the changes that create profit.

I do plan on attending a protest on the 4th.I agree that they are totally ignorring the majority and the protest feel useless,on the other hand that’s what they want you to think.By giving up you’re giving in,and I’m not gonna give into any of this. The 2nd amendment was put in for the very reason of last resort against govt takeover and it’s lookin more useful every day under this dictatorship.I hope a common ground union is formed for the common sense people to unite under and gather to show that the liberals are way outnumbered.Keep up the good fight yall and educate whoever needs it before the 2010 election.

Better hope some independent person has a chance in the next election because the GOP aren’t helping themselves a bit right now. Bunch of idiots can’t keep from cheating on their wives, texting young boys, etc. With the ultra liberal media love affair, good luck trying to convince tons of Americans that we’re headed in the wrong direction.

It won’t be long before many will be convinced. Obama is now at 59% approval. Higher than Bush at the same time but still slipping. He won’t be able to hang on to the lies and acts of treason against the American public that much longer.

Hooch, you may be right, look at Rassmussen’s poll data from today… “Rasmussen: Obama Approval Index Falls Below Zero”

I agree it feels like an uphill battle against the media’s darling, but the proof is in the streets. So he can keep getting on television with his stats and breakdowns but sooner or later those followers are gonna look outside and see he’s full of crap.A lady today said her husband’s been laid off from caterpillar for 4months now,the same company he said would not have to lay off in fact they’ll hire more if this stimulous is passed. The lies are really pilling up as fast as he’s running through billions.
Also conoco oil said it would import all it’s oil and quit demestic production if cap&trade passes. So how do this morons expect to "create jobs"with this BS(aside from more govt jobs)??

It’s interesting that the libs here don’t have too much to say about this. Are you guys starting to have second thoughts like the rest of America is?

Hooch,
I’ve noticed that too, since my posting this.I hope and prey they will see that all these moves are going to dismantle the america we all grew up and grew our business in,so why is it fair to not give our children the same america we had?Come on guys,it’s alright to use common sense,it works really well I promise.

I’m no expert on this, but I thought it was cars and factories that caused most of the CO2 emissions, why don’t they focus on that.

If this passes, I guess they will offer some kind of tax deduction for these upgrades, but will that really help much? Are you going to spend $5000-10000 worth of “green upgrades” into a $30,000 house in a bad neighborhood just to resell it?

Not cars, not factories but natural sources are the largest contributor to the release of carbon dioxide (plant food for photosynthesis). It is an undeniable fact that significantly more parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is extremely healthy for plants.

It is important to realize that naturally, significant amounts of carbon is output into the atmosphere while significant amounts are absorbed by the ocean and plants.

Rotting vegetation emits 220 Gigatones of carbon dioxide per year, respiration by vegetation emits another 220 GT. Plants also use over 440 GT of carbon each year as they photosynthesize. Ocean plants and plankton release over 330 GT per year and just as much is soaked up by the ocean.

Globally, in the entire world 8.38 GT of carbon are released each year from burning of fossil fuels.

There was a day long ago that no where on earth did man put out forest fires. They burned and burned until they went out naturally. As you know, rain doesn’t even put out a good forest fire.

The last big fire in Indonesia alone let out 2.57 GT of carbon which accounted for 40 percent of the entire worlds emissions at the time. And that is just one forest fire in a time where most are put out.

There were many times in history where there was significantly more carbon in the atmosphere than today from both forest fires and volcanoes.

Humans breathe out 26.4 GT per year so my suggestion is that we all stop breathing so we can help the plants grow slower in the environment.

Man has been desperately trying to control the atmosphere for many years. From rain dancing to dumping massive amounts of chemicals in clouds to try to get them to release rain. All have been proven to be unsuccessful.

Now there is word that all four major global temperature tracking outlets have released data showing that temperatures have dropped significantly over the last year. The amount of cooling ranges from 65-hundredths of a degree Centigrade to 75-hundreds of a degree.

Fact, over the past 100 years the earth has warmed somewhere between 1 half of a degree to 0.8 of a degree.

That is said to be a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years. It is reportedly the single fastest temperature change ever recorded — up or down.

Scientists contend the cooling is the result of reduced solar activity — which they say is a significantly larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases.

I’m not sure I believe global warming is a hoax, but there’s got to be a better way than this. There’s money to bail out AIG and friends, but the cost of this crap gets shifted completely onto homeowners? I don’t think so.

Luckily, as Mike said, this bill will not pass unless it’s modified significantly.

One liberal weighing in here.

Any President attacking the giant financial mess was bound to get skewered by the opposition. Would you rather have G.W. Bush in office right now? Trying to think his way through the complex mess–wouldn’t that be a scary thought?

Franklin D. Roosevelt comes to mind as another president who attempted a huge amount of change. He really was hated by the rich. He was in as huge a mess as this president, or even worse with staggering numbers of unemployed, and banks closing their doors. But he got us out of it.

I’m surprised by the pure hate and vehemence against President Obama after these few months. Why not give him a chance and a little time. He is as qualified an individual to lead this country as any before him. I have a great deal of trust in his ability to lead us out of this morass.

For those who discount global warming as “made up”, you have got to refer to the scientific consensus on that. I had the privilege of tagging along to a global warming conference in Miami Beach about 3 years ago. I sat in on some papers that were presented, and visited the posterboard displays. I was amazed at the international group of scientists, and the depth of their knowledge. I remember particularly 2 people who only dealt with ocean algae, its condition, and its changes. Others studied wind, ocean currents, cellular changes in plants, atmospheric changes, etc. A huge depth of knowledge there.

The consensus was: YES, GLOBAL WARMING EXISTS, IT IS INCREASED BY MAN’S ACTIVITIES, IT IS HAPPENING MUCH FASTER THAN EXPECTED, IT IS DARN SCARY, WE CAN’T PREDICT HOW FAST OR FAR IT WILL GO, BUT IT IS WARMING. A LOT. The global scientific consensus is in on global warming. Believe it.

Sure you can even today get people who profess that the earth is flat. You can get some scientists and many other nay-sayers who don’t want to believe the facts about global warming. International governmental conferences are not set up and funded because of 1 or 2 or 10 scientists’ opinions. The subject is too complex. Many, many international scientists have weighed in. So many that governments around the world are reacting, and changing their policies in response to the global warming threat. It is real. It is just plain stupid to deny the international consensus.

Yes scary, but no more scary than Obama.

Franklin D. Roosevelt comes to mind as another president who attempted a huge amount of change. He really was hated by the rich. He was in as huge a mess as this president, or even worse with staggering numbers of unemployed, and banks closing their doors. But he got us out of it.

Ohh, so you’re saying that within the “New Deal” the primary solution, “The National Industry Recovery Act” did not increase the length of the depression and that it wasn’t a complete failure. Interesting that you say this.

I’m surprised by the pure hate and vehemence against President Obama after these few months. Why not give him a chance and a little time. He is as qualified an individual to lead this country as any before him. I have a great deal of trust in his ability to lead us out of this morass.

Yes, it doesn’t matter what he does to this country or constitution. It doesn’t matter that he has increased the national debt more than any president in history, and more than all of them combined. All within his first month. Even when this recession STILL is not near as bad as Carters recession with absolutely NO bailout. You still will buy into this “largest economic disaster since the great depression” garbage. Too much main stream media for you Furnishedowner. I wish you would at least hear the other side on an equal basis so you can make a balanced decision on this.

For those who discount global warming as “made up”, you have got to refer to the scientific consensus on that.

You are right about that however you have ONLY heard the pro man made global warming scientists as they are the ONLY people the main stream media talks about. The FACT is that over 19,000 scientists to date disagree with the man made global warming hoax which outnumbers those who have “reviewed” the IPCC report by 15 to 1. I’ll be that your main stream media left out that FACT, didn’t they?

Other interesting FACTS include that 8,000 years ago, CO2 was 120 parts per million lower than now, and the climate was warmer than now. Now, CO2 is higher, but the climate is cooler.

The present Warm Era (the Holocene) began almost 12,000 years ago. It peaked circa 8,000 years ago at 1.5 degrees above the baseline, a full 1 degree warmer than now, at the beginning of what climatologists call the Holocene Optimum.

We also know that prior to 12,000 years ago, sea level was 400 feet lower than now. Most of that water was bound up in vast glaciers on the northern continents, in some places as much as three miles deep. From 12,000 to 6,000 years ago, there was so much glacial melting that sea levels rose 400 feet to their present level. That is, before the present era of Global Warming began, 12,000 years ago, sea level was 400 feet lower than now.

Before Global Warming began, twelve thousand years ago, you could walk from Alaska to Siberia on the Bering Land Bridge, or Beringia, a thousand miles of dry land, north to south, as large as Australia, now under the cold ocean of the north Pacific, the Bering Sea. You could walk from England to France on dry land under what is now the English Channel.

The proof against “man made global warming” is endless and insurmountable. But one must hear both sides of the story to make an educated decision.

Believe it.

What is A lot? 1/2 of a degree in the past 100 years? And state your PROOF of man made global warming as I will prove otherwise.

Many, many international scientists have weighed in.

You are correct about this, and MANY more say it is a hoax than those who say it isn’t. Reduce the Worlds “carbon” emissions and you reduce the dependence on oil while hurting other industries like coal, ethanol, etc.

It is real. It is just plain stupid to deny the international consensus.

You are also right about this so I now expect that you will be on board with the vast majority of scientists.

Furnished,
All you liberals keep saying"give him more time".I’d shake you if you were in front of me right now!!Jesus man,the most money spent in two months since washington,WASHINGTON!!Oh and we do have bush’s dumba$$ financial decisions with your messiah, bailouts, stimulous. The only real difference is atleast bush kept us safe, messiah has undone all that,WHY??And as for this global warming scam, that space shuttle which blows a gigantic hole in the ozone is way more of concern than cow farts,or cars.
Also how come real scientists are sueing the non scientist al gore??I can agree pollution is a problem, but I’ll take nuclear power over windmills(as other countries are)anyday. We have no choice other than to watch your president destroy the country,so I’ll be the same next year telling you all this, and I’m sure you’ll say he needs to finish his term and then we’ll see. :rolleyes
