Rules of Birddogging?
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:48:13 pm »
Being new I'm trying to figure out who the "respectable" investors are in my area. I got a lead this weekend that needed quick action.  I attempted to pass it along to some trusted investors but they were MIA with the holiday weekend. So I passed it along to an investor I didn't know.  Since passing it along I've heard from a few sources that this guy is not the best and doesn't follow through a lot of the time.

Would It be ok if I pass along the info to one of my trusted investor as well who I have more confidence in closing?  My gut says this will reflect badly on me, but what do the rest of you think?

Thanks,
-Scott Costello

You could give the takeaway sale instead:  "let me know in 24 hours or I will pass it along to another investor".  If the unknown investor is unresponsive, you can always say you gave him a shot before passing him by.
