Im scared for my Country...

Im only 18 , and im amazed grown ups can be so stupid, let alone be elected as politicians. Anybody watch the Presidents Address to Congress? After watching it, I seriously dont know what to do.

Part of me wants to cry, because the America that my ancestors have died for is being ruined by idiots. Im so furious that somebody can be a arrogent SOB as much as Pelosi. The stuff Obama says is horrible, and everybody cheers for him. Look right behind him and Theres Pelosi with her Liberal arrogent **** sitting there.

If you look into what Obama is saying, this is truly Socialism with a smile.

I dont think I can take it…

For the love of God, please elect Ron Paul in 2012.

Ron Paul 2012 :beer

Pelosi standing up every few seconds was annoying

AMEN!!

Hoosier,

Don’t look now but your country is about to collapse. The only hope is that this is a total collapse and that we can start again on the other side as a capitalist country and some common sense.

Mike

I think America will be fine.

And for the love of God anybody but Bush in office is a step in the right direction.

Capitalism, communism, socialism, fascism, doesn’t matter what “ism” you have, if people are greedy they will all amount to nothing.

Our financial mess was caused by greedy people in a capitalist system. All the others were horrible too as soon as the nuts take over. It’s people’s attitudes and goals that need to change, then we’ll find a good system.

Ron Paul? Are you guys for real, that sounds like Obama version 2. Preaching change all the way to election day… Come on guys, all politicians do is promise and never deliver, hasn’t history taught us that?
Same circus different clown, it NEVER changes.

Ron Paul is not obama part 2. His view is the government should be small and let free markets reign. no more fed reserve. no more sticking our noses into every other countries business. take care of our country instead of being the world watch dog. People would actually learn to save their money and live more responsibly instead of what we have now is borrow what you need now to get everything you don’t need now.

i like obama but he a socialist.

And for the love of God anybody but Bush in office is a step in the right direction.

:bs

Free government HAS reigned. CEO’s have enriched themselves and their cronies. Banks have made loans that can never be repaid, then processed and re-sold those loans. Yes, things are imploding.

Kinda looks to me like MORE government regulation is needed, not less.

Let’s give our new president a chance. We have a smart person with a lot of energy at the helm. I’m betting that we will get there.

I think the regulations were in place. The problem was a lack of enforcement of those regulations. There was too much money to made for anyone to want to stand in the way.

I didn’t mean that their ideas were similar. I meant that like Obama, he’s preaching change and all these ideals of what America should be. In that way preaching change, they are VERY MUCH THE SAME. And it sure sounds great doesn’t it?

Yeah, a great speaker with good ideals will always have a bunch of sheep eating it up. And just like every other politician in history, they will promise the world, and never deliver.

Furnishedowner,
Government is the problem. Unfortunately, many like yourself judge policy by its intention and not the incentives those policies create.

Consider this:

Before the government got involved in the markets one had to have 40% as a down payment to buy a house.

How do you think that effected the borrowers sense of what they could afford?

How do you think that effected the number of defaults?

Can you see the incentive to live conservatively and keep making mortgage payments?
