Go to your REIA meeting and ask active investors for recommendations.
You can try NARPM to find property managers to interview.
What REIforNewbies said is really important for 2 reasons. First all real estate is local. You have to find a contractor that works were you are and secondly most contractors have no idea how to deal with investor grade work. Their prices are too high and their quality is directed in the wrong direction. I say that because a retail contractor will concentrate his quality on making the job look good but an investment quality contractor will concentrate his quality on making the job last a long time. You will find them at your local real estate investor’s club meeting.
