Direct Lender

Hi,

I met someone who is a “direct lender”.

Please explain to me exactly what that means.

A direct lender is someone who lends you their own money without a middleman. An example would be your local bank or Countrywide.

The opposite of this would be a broker who finds the bank for you to get you the loan.

A direct lender is almost always cheaper, however, if you are having credit, income, unique situation…, issues a broker can be a great resource.
