Curb appeal in fall/winter

For those that are rehabbing during the winter, how do you handle “curb appeal”? Obviously you are not planting flowers, but how do you spruce up the place?

Good coat of paint, make sure all leaves are collected, branches tend to fall due to ice so get those picked up, keep the driveway and walkways clean, etc.

In the fall, we would put out some fall floweres ('mums, etc.) in nice clay pots. Because they are not affixed, they did not survive at the property after closing.

In Louisiana we often had to cut the grass a couple of time per month in the winter, too…

I was thinking more winter. Mums like Keith said are good for fall. Also things like pumpkins on the porch, you can tie some corn stalks up to porch poles, indian corn on the door maybe, etc.

Wow, never thought about all that. Those are some good ideas.

how about evergreens ? holly ? maybe a potted evergreen with
small multi-colored or all one color x-mas lights & or multi color
wrapped empty boxes for gifts to add color !!! colored garland around the front door & wrap the mailbox post with it . wrap
the mailbox as a gift. during nov. & dec. gaudy works great !!
since this is outdoors & may be stolen, your used stuff is the way to go. then buy new for your house. (stageing )is a legitimate expense.
happy decorating ! :bobble
