I have submitted a short sale package to wamu with a purchase price of $400k the property is worth about $480k. The problem is I submitted this package over a month ago and the projected sales date is June 24th. They called me and said they were going to order the BPO but still have not done so and I am running out of time. The last person I spoke to (they keep transferring me back and forth) told me they were understaffed and had too many short sales comming in. What can I do to speed up the process?
You can’t and the more you try the worse your position becomes. If you have confirmed that they have what they need, ignore them. Banks let properties roll right on up to the auction date before postponing them just to screw with your mind.
