Anyone know of a good rehab projectm management cost estimation software? Or xls template? What is the cost for this type of software and how good are they?
You really don’t need software…just a good old pad and pencil.
If you’re not familiar with general costs of things, get a contractor to do estimates for you and walk the job with him. Ask him questions about everything…material and labor costs. Call several contractors out to give you estimates, you’ll see how the prices go.
You can guestimate the utility costs, just figure on the high side. For everything else: mortgage, insurance, realtor comissions, capital gains tax, etc you should already have had solid numbers before you started anything at all.
