Tax certificates and Quiet Title

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it very much.

In Florida, a tax deed was issued and quiet title was acquired on my house. I have been told that I can request the excess proceeds of the tax sale, and that because the bank was notified and did nothing at the time of the quiet title action, and that then the quiet title says that the bank’s interests are cancelled on the property, I should receive the excess monies. Does anyone know how true this may or may not be?

I cant answer you ??? but the deed is a quit deed(title) not quiet. Just for your info.
