Credit scores

Hi All,
From time to time I get asked if I pull my own credit profile and don’t pay for the score, how can I calculate it? Any ideas? Herbster

Good Luck. I have talked with individuals at the credit reporting bureaus and even they could not explain it. Each bureau uses slightly different criteria as well.

Based on experience, the scores that the consumer can see are generally higher that the scores that institutions receive.

Here is an article that may explain it a little better.

Credit scores are proprietary (non-public) models used by FICO, Equifax, Transunion and Experian, they are all different. Any of the credit bureaus will sell you a package deal of all three reports and credit scores. I highly recommend checking all three bureau reports as they can vary greatly.
