relatives property

uncle told me that he plans to subdivide and sell much of his land he owns (over 50 acres).

we BRIEFLY talked about it and basically, he said that he would like to build a house (or two) on a few of the lots. he built his two years ago and wants to do the same.

we talked about me buying a few of the lots, doing the leg work to subdivide the whole shibang, setting up blding permits, paperwork etc. he builds it - then we would sell this house or two (where i bought the land from him) - and split the profits accordingly.

i kind of liked the idea because it would give me the opportunity to see a major project all the way through.

thoughts…

That’s a fine opportunity you have. It’s like free money

I would jump at the chance to subdivide and develop, but I live and work in San Diego where land is not readily available.

(On a side note, does anyone know about patenting a mining claim?)
