Title: Contracting for Re-hab work
Post by: Bak2Bak on February 16, 2005, 03:44:49 pm
Can anyone offer me a "standard" or template scope of work that I can edit (Word Doc. Prefered) and submit to potential contractors for bids?

I am looking to contract for work on a home I am about to re-hab and want to be sure that the work to be done and paid for is clearly written out and understood by both parties.

Thanks, GC in Baltimore

1)If the remodel is exstensive have an architect, or a drafting company do some quick plans detailing the work to be done.
2) Then have the contractor make up a detailed estimate of what is covered. If his estimate does not clearly detail all of the work, or he is unwilling to ....run, and keep looking.
